This was illustrated in a movie, but I heard it firsthand; I was about 30 when I was with some friends and a guy said, "yes, everyone remembers where they were when they heard Kennedy had been shot," and this 19 year old said, "Wait, Ted Kennedy was shot ?" 🤨

@TryingtoLava Yes, they all were. Their oldest brother, Joe, was killed in WWII, but had he lived, he likely would’ve gone into politics as well, which was their father’s ambition.

@DrWatson Funny thing, when I was visiting my father and family:
a friend of my niece’s was commenting,
"I was 5 when we were told about 9/11; my mother asked, "what will happen to this country?"
Pop said, "I was 9 when we heard on the radio about Pearl Harbor…my mother asked that same question."
