I reconnected with an old friend
He was stocking vegetables at the grocery store. He looked up at me and looked back down. I went up to him anyway and striked up a conversation.
He asked me about the my ex. I said we were no longer together. He then said, "its probably for the best". Then he asked, "why had i blocked him." I said that i did no such thing. He showed me his phone, and i saw that my contact info showed my phone number from 10 years ago. I told him i have a new phone number now, i thought i had given him my new number.
He called my current number, and sure enough it rang.
8 years ago i gave my old phone to my dad, and he he took my old number. Turns out he had been spam calling my dad for years now, and my dad seeing all the missed calls (and not liking my friend very much) blocked him.
Sometimes, friendships end due to silly misunderstandings.
