Just like in nature

The ones most in danger are kids and old people but here I'm going to talk about the old. Stop scaring yourselves online, get out of your house and walkabout the world. Life hasn't changed, being all cooped up has made you fearful of the bright light outside.

The world has changed.

Its faster, less friendly, and old people are almost seen as inconsquential if not invisible.

They grew up in a different pace of life, when life was lived in a more physically and mindfully connected way.

You dont understand what it feels to be older. It can be the fragility of a child without the unadulterated, unknowing optimism of a child, coupled with 'no one sees let alone cares'.

Thats a feeling of vulnerability you are yet to comprehend.

@OogieBoogie It really hasn't, the smiling faces are still there, the vibrancy of life is well and truly present. Sit on a bench and take it in
@Jackaloftheazuresand it really has. Esp in western countries.
People rarely sit on benches any more, at least not alone.

I truly believe you can't speak of what you've never experienced.

Just as i can't explain to you the difference in vibe of what life was like in the 1990's.. .the 1970's compared to now.

But it was VERY different.
Its rare to ever feel anything nowdays that is similar to the collecitve vibe of life back then.

@OogieBoogie Shutting their eyes to it or diverting their attention.

You're also assuming I don't have this experience through another avenue
@Jackaloftheazuresand what do you mean by:
Shutting their eyes to it or diverting their attention
?

How can you accurately feel what youve never experienced or lived?

You can imagine from seeing movies, and hearing others talk about it...but its not the same.

@OogieBoogie I went to a park a few weeks ago and I did just that, there were many others around me, crowded almost and it wasn't a holiday or any kind of event. So when you say it has changed then the perception is false because I saw the beauty was still there. A decade never engaging with humanity, never making the effort to and all it took was one day. Constant talk of people on their phones about how everyone else is on theirs. Talk of the death of American malls but the mall was filled with masses of people, a young guy playing some kind of chase game with some girls and the raucous joy of the world chowing down.

If you truly believe as you say then there's no reason for you to doubt me now is there? You are not me so how can you say I've not. Just because I'm not a senior? I've been living the life of one for most intents and purposes
@Jackaloftheazuresand ok fair comment.

But i wouldn't say going to a park and experiencing a moment is enough to claim that one knows what it feels like to be older, to say that that moment is exactly like a whole era.

All i can say is that one day you will understand what im trying to say.

Im sorry. I didnt mean to devalue the beauty that you see in the world.
Or try and dampen your enthusiasm.

That was wrong of me.

@OogieBoogie Thank you, maybe I will. And I hope if you are among them that this beauty reminds you of the good old days
@Jackaloftheazuresand Oh i see beauty in many days - sometimes something incredibly tiny, sometimes something quite fundamental. Sometimes something fragile and fleeting.

- Even awful trials and struggle can bring a type of beauty afterwards.

I suppose the most important thing is never lose the ability to see it.

I hope i never do
