how to not worry

about my elderly mum? - she told me she's in good health for her age, but that she just can't do what she used to do, and has slowed down......she normally visits me every couple of weeks, she lives an hour and a half away now by car....and i haven't seen my mum since last christmas, for the reason she told me, she can't do what she did...because she likes to visit and cook, clean etc, whilst she is here......but she told me she will be down if not before, most certainly at christmas..

i just miss my mum a lot, i am very close to my mum, always have been....and i couldn't handle it if she were to leave me in this world alone.....but i did take heart at the positive, she is in good health for her age.....but i still worry about my elderly mum a lot.

right from being a child at playschool, i used to cry when she left me on my own in the school to leave me.....i have always had a close bond with mum...how can i not worry about my mother?

There’s no easy answer to that. We all worry about our parents as they get older, and morbidly picture a world after them - which is never a happy place.

I guess I he most you can do is make sure you appreciate her while you can. Make lots of happy memories.
