Old folks are worth a fortune. [I Am Getting Older]
I don’t usually ask many questions or write stories on here but I thought I had to share something I found while going through old papers and things most of them probably came from my mothers letters and things.
This has to do with how to look at aging people.
Old folks are worth a fortune.
With silver in their hair, gold in their teeth, stones in their kidneys, lead in their feet and gas in their stomachs.
An older lady once said ( I’m seeing five gentlemen each day)
As I wake up Will Power helps me get out of bed.
Then I go see John.
Then Charley Horse comes along and he demands a lot of time and attention.
When he leaves Arthur comes along Mr. Ritis doesn’t like to be idle so he takes me from joint to joint.
After such a busy day I’m ready for bed
The preacher told me that I should think about the hereafter I told him i do everyday ,I’m always asking myself now what am I hereafter.
