I Have Grown Bolder As I'Ve Grown Older [Growing Old]
I grew up very privilege, given almost everything I ever wanted but with a price and strings attached. Few years ago, I cut the string and I've learned to appreciate life without materials. I couldn't care less for price tags or labels, as long as it's comfortable and presentable.
My boyfriend grew up poor, now he has a lucrative career that generates a large sum of money. He spends 80% of his salary on clothing and accessories.
When we are out with friends and their partners, they tend to look at me sideways because I don't fit in to their groups expectations or style requirements. I can walk in to a 5 Star restaurant in a pair of thongs and cheap 5 dollar Kmart jeans paired with cheap shirt or t-shirt.
My podium of "I don't give a f**k" is too comfortable.
