Anyone experience urinary retention or incontinence?

I've been experiencing a issue where after I pee, I have to go again. And sometimes a third time. And it can still leak a bit after that too. I've had it all year really and I've avoided going to the doctor because I have a separate issue ... fearing blood pressure checks.

I can't believe I avoid appointments Bec of it, but they never accept I have white coat syndrome, that it's only high Bec I'm panicked, not Bec I have high blood pressure. But I really am tired of the urinary issue and I know it needs attention.

Has anyone had this urinary issue and what was the cause or treatment?

Below are few natural remedies to urinary incontinence. I hope you will find them useful.

Pelvic Floor Exercises
Kegel movements: Squeeze your pelvic muscles as if stopping urine flow, hold for 5 seconds, then release for 5 seconds. Repeat 10 times per session, three times a day.
Proper form: Isolate the correct muscles without flexing your stomach, legs, or buttocks.
Core integration: Combine deep breathing with gentle core exercises like Pilates to support pelvic pressure.

Bladder Training & Habits Scheduled trips:
Urinate every 2 to 3 hours by the clock, rather than waiting for an urgent signal.
Timed waiting: Delay bathroom visits by 10 minutes when you feel an urge to expand bladder capacity over time.
Double voiding: Empty your bladder, wait a few minutes, and try to empty it a second time before leaving the toilet.

Diet and Lifestyle Adjustments
Remove irritants: Cut out coffee, black tea, fizzy sodas, alcohol, and spicy or acidic foods that trigger bladder spasms.
Smart hydration: Drink enough water to stay hydrated, but avoid chugging large amounts all at once or drinking right before bed.
Stop smoking: Eliminate nicotine to prevent chronic smoker’s cough from straining your pelvic floor.
Prevent constipation: Eat high-fiber foods like vegetables and whole grains so you never strain during bowel movements.

@DrawntoaDistance No actually I originally went in years ago to have an endometrioma removed (cyst) and the following day after the procedure, the doctor pushed on my back and asked if it hurt. It did. They had nicked something near my kidney during the procedure 😯 so he said the ureter was inflamed (after doing CT scan)from that incident so they put a stent in.

I don't know if this urinary issue is related but I looked it up and a ureter can get scar tissue after a stent was removed, and can cause urine issues. I Hateeee going to the doctor but I know it's time.
@Baybreeze don’t put it off. May seem like a minor annoyance but you don’t want to blow off kidney stuff. There’s a reason that whatever tf god thing up there gave us 2 of them.

@DrawntoaDistance I'm getting really nervous that it's not a blockage like a tumor...(Reading causes of medical issues online, not a good idea). And I hate when they say let's do an EKG Bec you're blood pressure is high. It's typically normal. It's only high when being checked. (White coat syndrome) I always have to deal with extra stress from my BP fear too. But I'm not going to put it off anymore, thanks🌸

The Pelvic Floors would be a great name for a punk band!

Some drugstores have blood pressure machines and can offer you a card that saves your results. You can use that card to print out a report of your ongoing blood pressure to show to your doctor. As for your urination problem you should have that looked into. Don’t wait. Go to a clinic or another doctor. Don’t let fear of being harassed by the doctor or some other anxiety about your health stop you from getting the treatment you need. Be happy. Be well.

@GovanDUNNY I like to ask doctors if I will be able to play the piano when they're through. They always say yes. I say that's great because I never could before!

You can refuse to have your blood pressure checked for something like this. Doctors cannot make you do anything. You don't want to. You could have an infection or a kidney stone. And it's definitely worth getting checked out. Everything you do at a doctor's office is voluntary Remember that.

Every time I pee now I have to remind myself I'm only half done. This morning I had to pee when I got up and I went three times before I was done. Ain't old age wonderful?
