When I feel envy, I don't try to suppress it. I use it.
Envy just means someone has something I deeply want but don't have yet. So instead of letting it grind me down, I use it as fuel to go get that thing myself.
The key is to lift yourself up, not pull the other person down.
And more often than not, when you finally reach that point or get what they have, you see the real cost behind it — the struggle, the sacrifice, the patience it took them to get there. If you're wise, the envy quietly turns into respect. Nobody gets hurt. Both of you grow.
And even if you don't get exactly what you wanted, you'd have moved forward. That's never wasted.
