Please help.. blood sugar question how can I naturally bring it down?

Okay so I don’t have any issues with my blood sugar normally only when I’m pregnant and it happens EVERY pregnancy… anyways I’m specifically having issues with high fasting blood sugar.. it’s only been in range one day out of a month and it’s because I pretty much didn’t eat anything the day before.. everything that worked for me in other pregnancies isn’t working so far this time.. (even going 3 miles on the exercise bike and 20 minute walk before bed)

I truly don’t know what to do and I’m trying to avoid medication because that will disqualify me from having another home birth

My adoptive sister is diabetic but I can’t ask her because nobody in my personal life aside from cowboy knows about the pregnancy

You could try cinnamon or clove essential oils as a 1% blend in a carrier oil for massage. That would be 6 drops per 30mls. These oils contain the compound eugenol which has been shown to lower blood sugar by increasing insulin sensitivity and helping cells take up glucose. Both are generally safe after the first trimester but should be avoided in early pregnancy. 😊

@MommaBear Melissa (lemon balm) would be safe to use in the first trimester, still as a 1% dilution so maximum of 6 drops per 30mls of carrier oil. It's an interesting oil as it helps manage hyperthyroidism too. It's a lovely gentle oil and is often used for anxiety and stress. It's active compound is rosemarinic acid which has also been shown to lower blood sugar naturally.
