Anyone who has had diabetic neuropathy

Do you know any tips or methods to reduce Numbness? This is just the most horrible aspect of neuropathy, more than pain, my sister says. The doctors don't provide any tips or treatments besides "getting your sugar down, " which can be very hard with a labile case like hers.

Of course it would help to get the sugars down, but also if she eats a lot of sweets it will make it worse.
I'm not judging it's a hard diet to stay on.

@Justmeraeagain She eats almost no sweets. Her sugars remain high all day even on just protein, nuts or salad. Something is very off why it stays high and two doctors have said I have no idea why her sugars do this. 😟 She's lost 60 pounds over last few years, eating practically nothing and her sugar stays high. If she takes the actual insulin she needs, it plummets too low, rapidly. So they are stumped. It's such a mean disease

@Coralmist has she been checked for dka?
If you lose a lot of weight that's one of the symptoms it can be quite dangerous.
I don't know if she checks for ketones ?
If they are high she would need to get out to the doctor now.
