Anyone had a hernia in the region of the stomach, intestine or bowel area? Food poisoning?

I'm off to see a GP today after a bit of emergency situation yesterday where I spent the nght before in quite a bit of pain, and vomited dinner from the previous night plus more vomiting during the day when I tried some simple foods and lots of water (because vomiting causes dehydration).

I'm suspicious that I have either food poisoning or a hernia. I did not eat anything since lunchtime yesterday so when I go to the gp today it'll be 24 hrs with no food.
