Ex England rugby player Lewis Moody is the latest to reveal he has MND or ALS. How sad. I was a big fan of him in his playing days.

MND is becoming as associated with rugby as Alzheimers is to former soccer players who spent years heading a ball.
Not sure if it's the sport itself or whether the players concerned were more susceptible to those specific problems.
One of those things that requires a lot more research and confirmation i think.
Although, watching a round up of the football last night , several players were sent off for some extremely dangerous challenges that might cause life changing conditions for the players they 'assaulted'.

@KatyO83 Even if there isn't, given the regularity of this; the cost to clubs losing players and players becoming 'ex-players' as a result of early retirement from the game and the insurance needed to be paid out for both player and club, you could understand if rules around tackles and challenges were changed to try and avoid it.
