Taking indomethacine for inflamation in my knee and had a bad dream last night and a bad nose bleed. I think it was from the drug.

While less common than some other CNS side effects like headaches or dizziness, Indomethacin can potentially cause nightmares.
Other neuropsychiatric effects reported with indomethacin include hallucinations, anxiety, depression, and confusion.
Some research suggests that these neuropsychiatric side effects, including nightmares, might be more common in certain groups like the elderly, postpartum women, and postoperative patients.
These effects are often dose-dependent, meaning they may be more likely at higher doses.
Why might indomethacin cause nightmares?
The exact mechanisms are not fully understood, but one theory suggests that indomethacin's ability to cross the blood-brain barrier and affect neurotransmitter systems, especially those involving serotonin and dopamine, might play a role.
There's also a possibility that indomethacin's effects on cerebral blood flow could be a contributing factor.
