Boot on (due in 3 weeks )
No weight till then .
How soon till back in work and drive right hand stick shift manual small work truck .

Your experience welcome ( but not taken on board dr is still calling shots I guess )

I will say 10 weeks minimum to get the strength to depress clutch.
I broke my ankle, wore a boot for 6 weeks.
Months of physio.
I had to have the pins removed because of pain, so a second operation was required.
You will have to be super careful now because the ankle will never be as strong as it was.
We blokes try to rush things. Take it easy and let the healing complete itself.

It might take longer, especially if you try and rush it.
Go slow and steady.

Best guess.. 6 to 8 weeks and you will have some muscle atrophy that will cause weakness and tiredness in that leg.....And we dont heel as faster as the youngens..😷

@1234cardiff This too shall pass. But I empathise. I was once grounded for 8 months with an achilles tendon op that went badly wrong and count put that foot on the ground for six of those months. But you get through these things. My advice is dont rush the recovery. It will only take longer if you do..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman thank you so so much for your wonderful words of wisdom and encouragement and support . I must confess it the not knowing what to come and how long not %100 or less and how long . I guess go with the flow and re adjust my work jobs and life around the new me

Now in recovery . Fiber glass boot 3 more week and %50 weight bearing after ( hope to get back to some kind of work ( cleaning and garden work ) and drive my right hand drive manual . It the left foot so clutch is needed . Dr is boss I guess he make the rules
