Democracy and a great country depends on citizens being informed. Be very informed! Watch many news sources from many countries to not be manipulated.
Not just twitter, Facebook, Christian broadcast network (which is very politically motivated), or political radio blogs (left or right motivated), press conferences, or fox entertainment news those are all editorials and opinions, not the news!

If you are watching very liberal news then also watch conservative news. Because only watching American or your own countries news is very dangerous. Please watch Austrailian news, English BBC, Germain DW, Danish, French, African, Hong Kong news, ABC, PBS, AP etc.

I try to avoid looking for news. I am very selective about who I listen to. Here in Canada it is getting harder and harder to get accurate information. The MSM is owned and operated by the government and there is a lot of censorship on things like facebook or Twitter or.... The government says that it can't have fake news being spread. Of course fake news is rather a malleable subject with each side claiming the other is fake.

@markinkansas Justin's step dad was utterly corrupt and made billions from his power position. He then hid the records so no one could see how he got rich. He was part of what we call the Laurential Elite. Which operates through a company in Quebec called (ironically enough) Power Corp. They pick the PMs and they picked the likes of Jean Chretien who got rich hanging out with China. Paul Martin who was given a bunch of ships that he then flagged off shore. He was also famous for the Tainted Blood scandal where he imported a bunch of tainted blood from Bill Clinton when Clinton was still governor of Arkansas. That blood killed a lot of Canadians. Martin wasn't very competent so he was replaced by Harper who was a nice enough guy but he never tried to get rid of the rot. He was also compromised and went to war in Libya with Hillary. He was then replaced with Justin who is utterly corrupt. He is owned and operated by Power Corp who is now owned and operated by the CCP Justin is about to step down and his replacement Mark Carney is even worse.
