I haven't been to the doctors since i was a teenager i think I'm just scared of what they will tell me

Am 35 never been I think am in the same boat.
However, my wife went 2 months ago to find out why she itches so much all over. Blood tests stated borderline of becoming Type II diabetes. Reports stated NOTHING ELSE! So she gave up sugar, felt better but itchiness reduced but not too much was on n off. Any guesses wha the problem was?? GLUTEN! THE REPORTS DID NOT STATE GLUTEN! She found out by eliminating it from her diet. Now she does not itch all over whasoever. BUT THE DOCTOR REPORT TOLD HER NOTHING!
