Had surgery on Monday evening to remove a mass under my left ear to lower jaw. Op. delayed by 14 months so it was considerably larger than Surgeon anticipated.
Finally home and exhausted. And as I type this I can feel the effects of the painkillers wearing off.
Going to be a tough couple of weeks recovery i think.

@Musicman Well for ages they said they thought it was a fluid sac. Every so often it would get 'infected', swell to the size of a tennis ball before decreasing over the course of a week, eventually returning to normal.
Then it 'evolved' to the point where it would start to affect my breathing and swallowing. Especially at night when lying flat in bed. Then it would burst outwardly. So they've taken it out for analysis; closed the wound and put a drain in.
Drain was taken out Wednesday so that should be the end of it. Trouble is they had to cut a tendon in my neck to get the thing out so i now have limited movement in my shoulder so physiotherapy should follow shortly @Musicman
