How Low Is Too Low For Blood Pressure For Someone Who Is Almost 70 years Old?

I went to Sam’s Club today to pickup a rotisserie chicken and some other things for lunch. Decided to sit down and get my BP checked at the machine next to the pharmacy area. It was 82/50. And marked as “normal”. Just a couple months ago my primary care doctor wanted to put me on blood pressure meds but I decided to stop drinking coffee and my BP came down.

The pharmacy machine is not accurate...If your bp is 82/50, you wouldn't have enough strength to stand.

@Atlotto It said normal. Back in January I felt really weak when I was in Walmart after bending down to look at something on a low shelf. So I walked across the store and sat down at the BP machine to rest and decided to check it. It was low then. I figured I was low on salt and dehydrated. When I got rested I checked out and then drove down the road to Aldi and got a box of salt and a lime seltzer water and took a big pinch of salt & drank a half-liter of seltzer. I felt much better within 15 minutes and finished my chores.
@Atlotto That's why I advised her to get a personal arm cuff monitor and check three times a day, and to have a local clinic check its accuracy.
