Another SVT episode and in the hospital

At 12:15am my heart started racing and it woke me up. I had to go up to the ER here because my heart rate was staying at 185-205.

They gave me meds to get my heart rate back down but they made me stay over night. I am so tired and I barely slept at all because they put me in the room by the Nurse’s desk and I could hear them talking all night long 😭.

I am waiting to see the doctor and find out if he’s going to discharge me. I am getting so tired of this, just get me to a cardiologist already.

You can take my cardiologist. Everyone keeps telling me it's just stress, so I don't want to continue seeing him because I feel like I'm wasting their time. 😬

@Nadie I am sorry you are having issues. All I want is to see a cardiologist.

@iamonfire696 what is the cause of all this? This has happened once too many times. It should not happen and when will you see the cardiologist?

@Jenny1234 I don’t know what is causing it, my doctor or the ER doctors don’t know.

Today the doctor on call said he’s going to get my referral expedited because this is happening way too often now. It’s ridiculous that I have had 8 SVT episodes and I haven’t seen a Cardiologist yet. That’s Canadian health care for you. You know all about it.
@iamonfire696 geeze. I hope they make it happen quickly.

@iamonfire696 so frustrating! I had to see a cardiologist when I was seeing different specialists after I acquired so many health issues from Covid. I got in to see the cardiologist quite quickly but I had to wait almost a year to see a neurologist. I think maybe it varies province to province because my babysitter Debbie whom I had when I was little (still keep in touch lol) needed an MRI and she has been on the waitlist in Quebec for over six months! It’s weird for me to hear that someone has to wait so long for an MRI when my doctor booked me one and I had it within two days

I truly hope you get the help you need ASAP

@Nadie thank you, I hope so too.

@Jenny1234 I am sorry you dealt with issues after Covid, I have asthma now. Are you still dealing with long covid?

It depends what the MRI is for, when they thought I may have has MS, I got in within 2 weeks for that MRI.

When they were trying to figure out what was going on with my knee that took 7 months to get an MRI and it’s partially dislocated. Then the wait to get in to see a specialist for it has been 7 months already.

When my Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer it took 2 months from diagnosis for her to have a Mastectomy so it’s not all bad.

@iamonfire696 you have asthma now? Do they know what brought that on?

My mri was scheduled to see if they could determine what was going on with my all day dizziness/nausea/exhaustion. I was living that way for 8 months and then it got better for four months then came back in full force. I couldn’t get out of bed some days. I missed a lot of time from work. I thought I was dying, Literally. Then I discovered acupuncture 15 months after the initial onset. Saved my life I swear.

My acupuncturist also is a Chinese medicine practitioner and she said that in Chinese medicine, Covid is believed to hit where people are weakest. My gut/digestion has always been my weakest point since childhood. She said that in Chinese medicine dizziness, nausea and exhaustion are symptoms of poor digestion and gut health. I would say that acupuncture improved my quality of life by 80%. I’ve been doing it for 15 months now.

@Jenny1234 I am so glad it’s worked so well for you. Long covid can be really disabling. I have done acupuncture and it’s worked well for some issues but not at all for others.

Yeah I got Asthma from having Covid so that sucks. I was so sick with it and had to be treated with monoclonal antibodies.
