If it’s just an occasional routine test then the doctors know people tend to get high readings due to nerves. If you have concerns about your BP, then consider getting you own kit so you can measure it at home at the same time each day (you’ll also get used to it and be less nervous over time).

@Harmonium1923 It goes high at home too. It is a shame root in fear...I had severe abuse for decades so I equate even health things with fear or shame. I know it is normal pressure..as my doc gets a good reading at end. But haven't had accurate reading in 3 years..only if she doesn't TELL me shes doing it then its normal. Last time she rechecked it she alerted me and my heart started racing. I need a new way to view it in general...😟
