Reaction to Mayo Clinic Hit Piece

Honestly I'm pretty glad that the carnivore diet made the Mayo Clinic's site because it means that enough people are doing it that it's gaining traction, that's good because it means that people care enough about their health to make better choices like a whole foods animal based diet. I'm sick of agencies like the American Academy of Dietetics having the final say on diets seeing as how big corporations like cereal giants, soda pop companies are literally in their pockets. Their BIGGEST donor is literally Coca Cola.

Look, many people probably think I'm on the carnivore diet, I'm not actually, I switch between keto and ketovore (keto being more veggies and ketovore being almost carnivorish) but I've seen so many people have improvement it's insane.

Kelly Hogan been zero carb for 14 years and she's thriving.

But thanks Mayo Clinic, you gave Mikhaila some really good talking points to debunk there AND made it more known than it was before lol, cheers!

And how are you finding your inner health on this new eating regime?
I know youve been on it a while now, noticed any changes?
Ive been trying to do similar, but i keep slipping up.
I still eat better than before at least.

I do know when i let simple carbs back in, i get digestive problems, sleep isnt as good, and i feel slight joint pain resurface.

@OogieBoogie I find my skin benefits the most and more energy. But I'm not all the way carnivore, I'm ketovore which is still meat based but I can have dairy and a few other things.

Check out Kelly Hogan, been no carb for 14 years, steak and butter gal used it to heal her skin and Lillie Kane all had skin issues too.

Another weird thing I noticed was that I can eat dairy but I'm still lactose intolerant but before it would make me sick so that's kind of another thing

@OogieBoogie Dr. Ken Berry too and his wife Neisha Berry but his wife isn't so the way carnivore, she coined the term ketovore.
@SatanBurger those names ring bells.
Think i may have seen some of their stuff.

Im finding this "food" thing to be an amazing revelation .
My diet is a bit of a mess - i do something for like three weeks and then slip off the wagon .

Every now and then i blow out - like last night: i had two chocolate chip cookies 🙄 and half a glass of wine and an icecream .
Today i feel sluggish

But its these 'blowouts' that habe made me so aware now, of what particular foods do to me .

Processed flour and sugar are the worst.
And white rice . Nearly anything white except coconut or milk, is just .....bad.

Ive noticed im cleaner minded, calmer .
I think my skin is a bit better - i know my hair is . And my nails are stronger.

That's so weird about the dairy. But you wouldn't be the first ive hear say that.

I wonder if its just that modern grains are now shit?🤔

I don't like him or his daughter
And see, that's the thing. People tell me that I'm a monster for not going vegan or vegetarian, but from everything I've researched, meat alternatives all have one thing in common. Carbs.
@SatanBurger Someone actually approached me and said something along the lines of, "You wouldn't eat a person, so why eat a cow?" I asked her why she assumed I wouldn't eat a person.

@LordShadowfire My answer would be that species aren't meant to eat their own, not even obligate carnivores. We have prions for a reason. Most prions are just random, with very few cases being from meat but species aren't meant to eat their own species for survival reasons. So no I wouldn't eat a human, I'm sure humans taste good as cannibals say but animals, regardless of biology, aren't supposed to.

But it is funny what you said to them, I could only imagine the look they gave you lol
@SatanBurger As I recall, she sort of shut up and vanished, rather quickly.
