Eat a pickle, always does the trick for me
@Trici Not recommended as pickles use vinegar as their fermenting chemical, which is an acid, which could exacerbate GERD if the OP has that.

@NativePortlander1970 certainly OP would figure that out the very first time he tried

I've had something similar but much milder, called "acid reflux" - but that's not a diagnosis of your medical problem, and you should consult your doctor, not a social-media site, for it.
Get it checked. Endoscopy will be suggested to you.
These are symptoms of an infection.
I'm had the similar issues and was given antibiotics for about 15 days to take care of the infection. And don't smoke, if you do.

It's probably excess stomach acid .
You've trained your stomach to produce a lot of acid form when you binge .
So even when you ear a small amount of food - the stomach expects a binge and prepares by producing lots of stomach acid .
Id really recommend going to a doctor and enquiring about treatment . There are acid reducing medications .
Too much acid can lead to ulcers and other conditions .
In the short term you can neutralize the stomach acid with 1tsp carb soda in half a glass of water .
It'll make you do a big burp ....but then the burping will be done .

You need to see a doctor for this, specially if you have a burning sensation while belching.
