What's up with my left foot?

It seems as if I need to roll/flex my left foot to pop it before doing any physically active activities like walking or having a water gun/balloon fight so I don't "sprain" or "pull" something whenever I'm doing those active activities.
It'll hurt if I don't flex it to pop it. It'll hurt near the middle, also close to my leg (I can't really describe where).
I don't know how to fix that problem.
