Doctors are brutally honest

I went to see my doctor because lately I've been getting heartburn whenever I eat anything with tomato in it. Never had this problem before. As a cancer survivor, I go for regular checkups, have blood drawn frequently just to check to make sure things are still ok. So I figured he should know what the problem is fairly easily. And he did. He told me its acid reflux. When I asked him why I am getting this now and never got it before his answer was very blunt. He said it's because you're getting old and there is wear and tear on your stomach just like every other part of your body. Oh well, cant fight the aging process

So sorry to hear it. I know how worrisome that is, as I have family members with serious stomach problems. Some have had GI cancer and some just have GERD or indigestion. Best of luck to you, and I hope it's just a food sensitivity or allergy type problem.
