DOES DEPRESSION REALLY EXIST OR DO U MANIFEST IT BY BELIEVING IN IT ???

Clinical depression is a physical ailment, involving neurons and underproduction of chemicals in the brain.

Granted, we often use the word "depressed" to mean things far less serious, but clinical depression is quite real. My wife suffers from it.

@DrWatson It's the chemical form that's so frightening and hard to treat. I hope your wife is managing it and finding comfort.

@Graylight Thank you. She does take her medications regularly, and she does other things that help. In winter she uses a lightbox, and she takes one hour every day to lie down and meditate.

She has been dealing with this for 34 years, and by now she understands it.
