There's a park near the Plimoth Grist Mill that is absolutely beautiful. One view, from the park across the water is only available if you get right to the shore and peer through the trees. There you can see the swans, mated for life...their offspring, some years, and a view of the trees on the opposite bank reminiscent of a painting by Monet.

Closer to the mill, there is a beautiful arched wooden bridge, and in late spring and early summer, you can watch the beautiful teal and blue dragonflies darting in and out of the cattails along the bank.

If you walk alongside and behind the mill in early spring, the path leads you among heavy plantings of daffodils, grape hyacinth, and paper narcissus. If you continue to walk under the bridge, you emerge into yet another park, and you are almost right on the harbor.
