Someone asked me a question about my weight, and since then I feel nauseated when I think about food or open the fridge

It got better for a few days but it's back again. Please, what can help?

I have struggled with weight and food issues my entire life. I have had insults made about my weight. My Mom never helped by comments she made whenever i visited. I was very unkind to myself.

I made some health changes for myself over a year ago and lost weight. During the process i read a book called "The Shift" by Dr Gary Foster. In it he expounded on these points when it came to eating, diet, and living healthy:

1 For weight loss, what you think is more important than what you eat.
2 Self-compassion is the best remedy to setbacks.
3 Clear your mind of negative thoughts.
4 Clear goals will get you to Destination Weight Loss.
5 Use your superpowers to lose weight and become a better person.
6 Your amazing body is worthy of respect and appreciation.
7 Don’t be afraid to ask for help.
8 Choose happiness now.

Don't beat yourself up blindbob. Who you are is more important than what your weight is or what you eat. Don't listen to the negative thoughts. Focus on what you do right. Enjoy your holidays and celebrate. Each day is a choice. Merry Christmas.

@blindbob You're not going to get better discourse than the above post. Read it, read it again and then memorize it. If you weigh more than you're comfortable with, are you still the same Bob with all his traits and qualities? Of course you are. Now imagine you lost your ability to think and interact, would you be the same Bob? That's the important stuff. Cherish it.
If your happiness depends upon the opinions of others you will always be a slave.
