Can I get all the positive thoughts and prayers 💖

Well I am at the hospital for my first IV antibiotic treatment. I will be doing this 3 times a day for 10 days. I will be coming at 7:30am, 2:30pm and 9:30pm for the infusions.

I am still fighting that amoeba in my sinuses that I have been dealing with since April and I haven’t been able to clear. The Ear/Nose/Throat Specialist is hoping this does the trick to get rid of it.

If I could get all of the positive thoughts and prayers that would mean a lot. I really need to get rid of this. As I am having my infusion at the moment I am feeling so nauseous right now 😢.

Thank you all 💖💖💖

I hope for your recovery during these next 10 days.

I will begin praying for you. I’m sure our Lord and Savior can find you by @iamonfire696.

My first prayer was just moments ago @iamonfire696

Is there no way to have a “pick line” put in your arm so you could do your drips at home?
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@gdon39 I have a picc line in but it has to be administered by a nurse at the hospital.

That stinks. @iamonfire696 what’s the reasoning behind that?
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@gdon39 how do I administer IV medication at home?
gdon39 · 46-50, M
You simply need your pick line, a rack to hold your medicine bag and the confidence you have paid plenty of attention to your lessons on how to safely administer it. @iamonfire696 I’ve done it two separate times and I was nervous the first couple of times.

There are some medications that will not allow you to administer yourself and perhaps what you are taking is one of them.

I would definitely ask if you are able to self administer bc you have 30 hospital runs and we all know how much fun that is.

@gdon39 I live 3 minutes from the hospital. I can’t administer this medication it has to be mixed.

Why would I want to do that?
gdon39 · 46-50, M
I believe you could mix as I have before. Again, a little nerve racking @iamonfire696

As to why would you want to do that? It doesn’t sound like you have a problem going to the hospital that much. I really hope that you have no side effects from the treatments, you most likely won’t but that would be one reason. I just don’t want to go to the hospital if avoidable and I go all the time

@gdon39 I cannot get the medication and administer it myself. The rules are different here in Canada.
