Would You Participate In A Clinical Trial To Test Out Medications?

A local doctor who does a news segment on a TV station says that there is a shortage of people willing to participate in clinical studies. She was urging people to volunteer saying they would get paid for their time, adding “it was the easiest money I’ve ever made.”

I wonder why people are not wanting to participate these days? Could it be distrust of the pharmaceutical industry?

Hmmm. If I were a physician I wouldn't urge people to become test subjects.
It is something that people hard up for money have always done

@REMsleep the fact that she is a doctor and also has a side job on that news channel and bragging about doing a clinical trial and “It was the easiest money I ever made.” Geez, that was just stupid. You have to drive to the testing facility and the pay is very little. Sometimes they pay $60-$100 and probably not much more depending on how many trips you make. Hardly worth your while much less taking the risk of having some bad side effects.
