Okay. Here goes nothing...

I'm getting online with my work benefits to find a free counselor/therapist to get help with my mental health issues /grief and drinking...🤪
My family and friends are very worried about me and i just keep putting it off. I'm gonna do it and see it through. 👍🤗🤗😇😇🙏🙏

If you find the right counselor it can be a real game changer.
The only thing I think that would be helpful for you at this point is that you really need to feel connected to your counselor.
Counselors are people too and we don't all mesh with one another.
If you don't feel a connection after three or four visits try to not feel funny asking to try another one.
I myself lucked out with the first one I had.
She is an amazing person to have in my corner.
Good luck with this.

@Dainbramadge Number one determining factor of success in CBT: The rapport established with the therapist/counselor.

This is so, so true. If you can't find someone you like, keep going.
