Drink a little baking powder
SW-User
@MrBrownstone you mean baking soda ?
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@SW-User Yeah. Especially with heart burn. It will cancel out the acid.

If you have acid reflux and bad acid indigestion, dissolve 1/2 tsp of baking soda in 8 oz of water and drink it down. It will kill the acid. Try not to do this too often as it is very hard on your stomach. Great for emergencies, though.
GeniUs · 56-60, M
Water, milk if it's acidic, calcium carbonate if you can't stomach milk.

Ginger Ale and saltines.
ginger ale tends to be helpful
Rokasu · 36-40, M
@dirge I never understood this. My mom would always give us Ginger Ale as kids and it only made me feel worse.
@Rokasu hm. ginger has a warmng effect, but it usually calms stomach and lowers inflamation.
Rokasu · 36-40, M
@dirge Maybe ginger tea. But carbonated ginger pop/soda doesn't seem all too great for an upset digestive system.

Try apple cider vinegar, it's cheap and it works wonders!
