Have you ever experienced chronic pain and sickness?

Were you given a medical diagnosis? Did you find ways to remain healthy and active despite?

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia years ago and tried every available option besides meds to no avail. When I lived in the van on the road, I never had pain, never got sick, I had energy, I got excellent sleep and was able to eat without discomfort. As soon as I get back to Delaware it all dumped right back on me worse than before 😆 I’ve never felt so terrible in my life.

Seems like Delaware is a stress trigger for you.

@RebelFox I feel for you because it's exhausting. But moving is better than stopping and accepting the pain on the pains terms

@Applepiedom I have to fix up my mom’s house to sell and then I’m getting out of here. My son doesn’t want to do vanlife again and I’m cool with that, but here we are trapped. I need a new location. New life.

@RebelFox When you traveled
What was Best? What memories were th best?
Wher did you say "I want to com back to this!"

Possibly it was many places, what attributes did they hav in common? That's wher you start looking.

I was justbtold that I have the arthritis of a man in his 70s and habe to do physical therapy. And all other symptoms are related since doctors don't like actually look for problems. Months ago I would do several hundred pushups a day, now it's a struggle to do 50 at a time and it's excruciating. Not to mention weight gain and mental things from not being able to move.

@Notanymore Same!!!! I was in the best shape of my life and all of the sudden I have fibromyalgia and that explains everything? I did physical therapy too. The aqua therapy felt great, but never really helped. And insurance only covers it if you “get better” 😆 It’s all laughable really. I think it’s mental distress from living in a shithole society.

@RebelFox i just call it kharmic penance for years of being so fortunate and ungrateful. That's just my experience though and gow I keep from being bitter about it.
Some suggested viewing. A possibility you may not have explored from a not-so surprising source

@stratosranger Yes I was diagnosed with ptsd a long time ago. I went through a lot of sexual abuse as a child that my family ignored. I am for sure damaged goods. And now everyone keeps dying and I can’t do anything to stop it. I just keep getting more alone and it keeps getting worse and I don’t know how to keep this up. I want to run around and play with my son again 😭
@RebelFox I’m so sorry. Sometimes in life we are left with hard choices. You need to care for yourself but yet your loved ones and son need you as well. The hard but correct choice is to care for yourself first. Only because you can’t care for anyone else if you’re broken.

@RebelFox There's a girl my son is friends with who had all sort of problems, mental as well as physical. She once spent some time in a mental ward after a minor fender bender. She left here and moved out west for a year or so and not only did her mental health improve, but her physical health did as well. She's back here now but from what I understand avoiding certain family members,
So yeah, something there could be triggering you and a change of scenery could help with your health issues.

I got diagnosed with pcos & endometriosis at the age of 16. My only relief from the pain of those is when I was pregnant with my babies (of course the pregnancies came with problems of their own) i had hope having my tubes removed would help but it hasnt yet.

Chronic pain & suffering sucks. Im sorry you are hurtint mama.
I know someone with fibro and it has such an impact on her life. Sending 🤗
I have pain throughout my body. Fibro, Osteoarhritis. It's like the doctor threw a blanket over all my pain and called it Fibro. I had an accident years ago and now have pain everyday. I have been to doctors dozens of times to diagnose the pain but the doctors dismiss the pain I'm in and call it Fibromyalgia. Arthritis dissolved my knee. One day it was there the next it collapsed and wasn't there anymore.

People I have known say the same thing. Calming oneself-esp in nature- was always the best tonic.

Modern stresses are encouraged 24/7. We have too little appreciation, as a culture, of the basic human need for peace and quiet.

Cortisol tears us apart from the stress from inside out.

🤔......Maybe it's depression in living in Delaware..........You need to get out of that place. In the van you were free of the daily routine of the Delaware life.........jmo......I'm sure your stress is not good for Fibromyalgia, as too much stress is very unhealthy for anyone........

Walking 🚶‍♀️ is good, I have been drinking fennel tea for years it helps with settling your stomach where the stress goes first.
