For people who got infected with covid then and now

Was it more intense when it first started or now?
For me, I'm getting infected by it every summer. I have it rn, yesterday n today I went cycling, and it was really tiring.
I'm the type who can't leave home without morning yoga, but during these days i had feelings that if i do it i might pass out.
I'm breathing with effort, it's like there's no oxygen in my lungs.
Moreover, i feel a sense of laziness that i can't explain. It's like I've never moved out of bed or know what's sport. It's just really weird how it got me this time.

Almost forgot , does anyone else feel depressed when they get it? I do
SweetMae · 70-79, F
When I had it, I could barely crawl out of bed.
@Fungirlmmm @SweetMae

I had C19, Delta , and Omicoron variations... quite a collection, right??

Despite the virus getting weaker and my immune system getting supposedly stronger against it, each time it felt worse.. :(

@Soossie That is quite a collection. I pray you don't get anymore viruses. 🙏🤗💕🌹
@SweetMae

Thank you Lady Mae... I pray that you won't either... 🤗🤗💖🌹

Accepting that your body needs rest until you get over covid may help you.
It's not laziness it's your body telling you to get some rest and you can always go back to your normal activities once it's gone

I had it Dec 2020 and the only symptom was a headache for a few days, not bad at all. I had it again a few weeks ago, fever and chills and generally felt rough for a few days. Also my taste was off this time around and took some time to get back to normal.

Covid fucked me up. I developed other conditions I’ve never had before in my life after it
Soldonmonday · 51-55, F
I have been in bed 16 days almost unable to move. I could not eat but i drank tons of liquids. I kept plenty of fresh air circulating through the room. Dizziness, fatigue and horrible body aches were my symptom.
Soldonmonday · 51-55, F
@Hassan Yes today is my first day having coffee outside in the flower garden.
Soldonmonday · 51-55, F
@Soldonmonday Flowers to cheer you up!
Hassan · 22-25, M
@Soldonmonday aww thanks i love flowers 😍☺️☺️

When I had it I had a burning fever with a massive headache, which eventually turned into swollen sinuses, a dry cough, loss of sense of smell/taste, and shortness of breath. I also had a lot of muscle/joint pain so I couldn't do much except lie in bed. 😞

It's still a deadly virus.

What we're learning is that surviving the short-term bout with Covid is only the beginning for about half the people who get it. Long Covid is showing us cognitive changes in the brain akin to Alzheimer's, long-term respiratory and cardia issue and extended serious fatigue. This is not the flu.

I would imagine by now there are online groups where those recovering and survivors share their stories; you might find searching one out is helpful. In the meantime, hang in there, treat yourself gently and do what the virus tells you to do.
@Graylight I have long-term issues but testing is not showing as me having any heart or lung issues. On paper I look completely healthy.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@midnightrose That's GOOD news. It means this can't last forever. Feel better and take the time and care you'd offer anyone else in your position. Too often we don't allow ourselves to heal. Good luck and feel better.
For me it was more intense back in 2020 than more recent. I was in the hospital with my first infection but my case this year was horrible for a night and then mild for a few days.

When i got it a second time it was worse than the first time
Hassan · 22-25, M
@AlyAngel was it recently?
AlyAngel · F
@Hassan yeah im just now getting over it
Hassan · 22-25, M
@AlyAngel get well soon. Sleep as much as you want 🙏😢
I've only had it once. I was pretty sick, like flu sick, for a few days.

Try to rest
Hassan · 22-25, M
@SW-User I'm 😊 the sun is helping me to recover. At first I was like why does she care if i get tested or not, and how did she find out that i didn't.
I wake up with a blurry vision 😂

When I had it, I was extremely exhausted. Luckily working from home, I could work for a couple of hours, rest for a couple of hours. Was my routine throughout the day.
Only had it once a few months ago but testing daily since I'm sick, though that's a result of my work environment rather than an ailing body. Hope you recover from long COVID soon
I only had it once that I know of and I do remember feeling pretty bad, but honestly relate my experience more to like a cold other than the body aches.

Go get the NOVAVAX Nuvaxovid Vaccine if you haven't been Vaccinated yet.
Or get it as a BOOSTER as soon as you can in September or October.

Thankfully, all I have had are the J&J vaccine and two Pfizer booster shots, one in December and another in May.
Mysterion619 · 26-30, M
The first time i had it qas b4 i had tge vaccines. It was horrible. The second time was after i had 2 vaccines and i barely noticed it
Unlearn · 41-45, M
Are you vaccinated?
Hassan · 22-25, M
@Unlearn nope
Hassan · 22-25, M
@Unlearn idk if you believe me, but i have feelings that it's prominent at beaches /sea. The water is fucking abnormal, I'm sure someone messed up with it
1st was worse
