Do you suffer with cold sores?

I got one first time this summer. It was around the same time I had a bad diarrhea infection so maybe it was because of that? I'm not sure. But yeah it was on the edge of my upper lip and sooooo annoying. It would hurt every time I spoke of chewed. Ugh. It got infected and I popped it. Was so painful. It left a hyperpigmented spot uggghhhh.

My daughter does , and we have to get prescriptions for either liquid zovirax or the tablets the creams are no good to her , a bottle of oral zovirax here costs close to 70 euros and can only be got on prescription, might not be the same in uk or as expensive.

yes i do get them i use to find after shave use to dry them up nicely but wbe careful it does not go in your mouth of course , just put on a cotton bud and dab it . luckily i use too use old spice after shave in those days and i liked the scent of it [ twinkles]

Stress, lack of sleep, poor immunity can bring on flare ups. Also scratching or rubbing or and activities that cause irritation at infected areas.
Put Abreva on it at the first sign of cold sore, will decrease time by days.
There are supplements also shown to support suppression such as Lysine.
If its bad enough you can get a prescription to supress.
Chocolate and popcorn have been shown to increase outbreaks.
