I am "borderline hypertensive" (fancy words for high blood pressure) I am prescribed a low dose of generic Norvasq. One of the side effects of the medication is swelling of the feet. In my case there is some minor swelling in the ankle area, usually visible at the top of my socks in the evenings. The swelling is gone when I wake in the morning. It takes all day before the swelling is noticeable.

I spoke to my doctor about it and she didn't believe it was something to be concerned about. I don't do anything differently than normal.

If your swelling is a problem try talking with your doctor about a change in medications. My friend went through 4 or 5 different meds trying to find one that worked at controlling his BP with acceptable side effects.

@bowman81 That's what my quack doctor said, she didn't think it was anything to be concerned about.

When we watch hospital shows on TV like The Good Doctor, they always say they need to run tests. But in real life they just shrug their shoulders and hope the problem goes away on its own.

@bowman81 Perhaps you should try a different medication. I Losartan (generic version of Cozaar) and as far as I can tell there are no side effects beyond my fingers feeling the cold a bit more than before which seems to be simply an effect of reduced blood pressure rather than a side effect.
