Not at all. Everyone needs it sometimes. I think some personalities just need to be able to vent more often to help express, process and move forward. It helps me sometimes.
I have a few coworkers who come into my office every single morning when they get in and will quickly vent for fifteen minutes about whatever happened then he or she usually asks me about my day (usually I just say "good' and maybe twice a month I'll need to vent some silly issue to one of them) and then he or she leaves and does their work, then at the end of his day and one of them always stop by my door just to quick say bye. Every once in a while we'll talk about hanging out at lunch or us bringing our partners and doing something together some evening since we all get along. Not sure what kind of relationship that is but it seems to works for me and them! Hope you find a good listener somewhere to vent to on a regular basis.
