I have a battery one that also can be plugged in to use if the battery is low. Haven’t needed it since I retired. When I retired from the university and worked at two different places with skylights in the ceiling I was getting enough sunlight I didn’t need it either. They are effective for birds and cats when there has been a long cloudy period, they will really get cheerful and they love to sit next to the light. Also Vitamin D and fish oil supplements helps a lot.

@MarineBob They are making them very inexpensive these days using blue LED lights and they are effective. The older versions were more expensive than I can afford. I think the last one I got from EBay and it was new.

I try to get some amount of natural light everyday. It helps a lot. Im glad you have the light for your wife when she gets back home👍
