Just my opinion here on some COVID procedures.

I've read on here about some countries going back into lockdown, and I don't feel like that should be necessary at this point. Lockdowns were what we did at the beginning, when we didn't have the tools to fight the virus. Since we have the tools we need to fight the virus, I feel like lockdowns would be a step backwards, not forwards at this point.

I hope this doesn't raise too much controversy 馃槅.

Couple of thoughts. We never did really commit to widespread lockdowns and they weren't completely effective. However, had lockdowns and quarantines been done effectively and completely this virus, in all likelihood, would be gone.

But I agree that while we have to keep lockdowns as an option in the worst-case scenarios, with vaccines and boosters there ought to be a way to live without such drastic measures. The problem, of course, is those who are unvaccinated who will continue to become sick and make others sick. The loss of those so willing to lay down their lives isn't a big deal, the people they infect are.

@Graylight agreed. Also the space they take up in hospitals which in effect will kill other people who suffer from heart attack, stroke, accidents, etc that won鈥檛 be able to get an ICU bed. Also those waiting on surgery, cancer screenings, etc that don鈥檛 get them because those staff are deployed to the ICU, ER, testing sites, vaccination sites.

@Graylight Perfectly said. Man if I knew i infected someone I would feel so awful and guilty, they dont seem to care.
