Just my opinion here on some COVID procedures.

I've read on here about some countries going back into lockdown, and I don't feel like that should be necessary at this point. Lockdowns were what we did at the beginning, when we didn't have the tools to fight the virus. Since we have the tools we need to fight the virus, I feel like lockdowns would be a step [b]backwards[/b], not forwards at this point.

I hope this doesn't raise too much controversy 😆.

Lockdowns wouldn't be necessary if people got vaccinated. Like ya say, we have the tools to fight the virus - vaccines. Any lockdowns that happen now, are mostly thanks to the anti vaxers.

@SW-User i would give you best comment. btw the countries in europe heading that way are again having serious issues with the health care/ hospitals etc. so they are trying to alleviate that.

@GJOFJ3 I know that is true, but if we all were vaccinated, I think it would stop the spread. They can make a vaccine to stop the new variant, but if many refuse to take it, the virus will mutate again - and again.

Israel has over 90% vaccination rate and still seeing lots of breakthrough cases
There is just so much we don’t know about this virus

@Jenna76 I see no proof that the anti vaxxers were right. Many of them have died or had long lasting effects.
I believe the vaccine has greatly reduced the severity and death rate but it has not stopped the virus yet
