@FloorGenAdm @MrBrownstone Fixed income usually means you are not employed; on a pension or other source of stipulated income without any expectations of pay raises, promotions, etc. Only cost-of-living adjustments (that rarely cover the full increase in cost-of-living) if your pension plan has one.
