One of my birthday resolutions was to keep up with my correspondence

Imagine, if you will, a oldy worldly little woman but with far superior beverages and hot bubble baths, spilling her soul (and the occasional salacious gossip) onto the page.
Does anyone else find snail-mail an absolute delight in a world full of technology?

Every year at Christmas Aunt Betty and I write each other a letter. To me, it’s one of the best parts of the season. Which I need to get on or she’s going to beat me again. 😂👍
@JustNik That's super cute. I hope you're doing well, friend 🖤

In an instantaneous world of 1 and 0's, a simple paper with squiggly lines that have travelled a great distance just to get to our hands is something that is indeed priceless.
@EuphoricTurtle and all the people along the way that made it happen. It's a beautiful thing.

Snail mail is a rarity; year so meaningfully under preformed.

I can see the appeal in theory, but the way the post office has become a source if fail, my far better typing skills, and general dorkiness... its likely id stay digital
@stound The delays are frustrating, absolutely. And it'll only get worse over the coming weeks.
@FoxUnderPressure I wonder if more people will be changing out to opening a christmas present that's a pic of what you're actually going to get in 3-6 weeks.
@stound I like that idea. Reminds me of "look whatcha could've won"..

@FoxUnderPressure ok.. I'm going to have really concentrate and make sure I don't accidently get my penis in the frame. I think I can do it though.
@Coppercoil This is the best thing I've seen all day 😊

I have two friends I`ve known for year who live in England and we send each other cards on special occasions. I always find great joy in them.

Oh and oldy you are far from. ;)
I'll be awaiting a letter from you in the mail. I love collecting stamps from other countries.

Once upon a time I was an avid writer of the old snail mail. It was well before the internet. I used to write to new found friends in NZ, UK and USA. it was frustrating waiting months between replies but all worth it when you saw a thick hand addressed envelope in the mail box.
Thank you for the look back.
@Bushmanoz You're welcome, and I hope you get mail soon.

@FoxUnderPressure Thanks. No chance of that these days though

Getting letters is awesome
TheLordOfHell · 41-45
@FoxUnderPressure That too, if they can read my handwriting
@TheLordOfHell Boys always complain about their handwriting.
TheLordOfHell · 41-45
@FoxUnderPressure Haha you'd need the Rosetta Stone to translate what I write
