The surgeon phoned me back today, saying he is very sorry that he had to cancel the surgery on Thursday, but he is planning it for Friday instead! Now I have to show my ugly cut up arms

@lilyrosex I've hurt myself before and seen how devastating it was to my boyfriend. I've also had a partner who was severely depressed and hurt herself a lot (on top of taking night "walks"). It's no good for anyone involved, and it's better to work on building the willpower to resist hurting yourself.

@lilyrosex You see? You do have people who care about you. When you're feeling overwhelmed, depressed, or otherwise, you should try to open up and talk with him. He wants to be there for you.
I haven't hurt myself in quite some time. A few years, I believe. (At least, on purpose. I'm still a totally unbalanced klutz that runs into things like a dork.) I've had a number of days where I've thought of doing it, but instead I decided to do other things to keep me busy and away from those thoughts. Cleaning, drawing, laying in bed and watching things, a little bit of exercise... Any little thing can help.
