Do you think eating Meats, vegetables, and fruits only is a good diet?

No breading, sugar, nuts, pasta and etc unless it is a cheat day. Do you think I will have any deficiencies from eating only meat, veggies, and fruits?

Starches are where your energy comes from, and being a male between the ages of 18-21 you're burning energy just standing there.

The problem comes when you get a little older and you no longer need enough energy to feed a body that's growing and constantly running around, yet you still love to eat. Fortunately you've got a few years until then.

Eat a well rounded meal like your grandmother says. :)

@syfy86 there are genetic differences yet this is well established for most.

Personally I have always been underweight. I'm 62 and have always been underweight. In fact now I really should be eating more of everything.

Severely underweight just isn't healthy for a 62 year old man. 😔

Eliminating anything altogether is a poor way to construct a healthy eating plan. Our bodies need the nutrients and things they take in. Only in America do we think eliminating entire macronutrient categories will somehow work for us.

You need carbs, you need fats, you need protein, you need minerals and vitamins. Create a deficiency in one place and your body will find a way to compensate, but it's robbing Peter to pay Paul.

If you're dead-set on a "plan," check out the Mediterranean Diet or anything like it. It's a healthy approach that accentuates the good without creating new problems around the bad.

No meat. Brain function problems.
No vegetables digestive problems.
No fruit...scurvy!
No starches weight retention problems.

Pick all or pick your poison.
I don’t think so, they’re the main food groups you need most anyway. I would be concerned about the lack of nuts though. They’re rich in nutrition, fatty acids, and minerals you need. I get they’re high in calories but the healthy fats and nutrition is worth incorporating. Also, you would need a calcium boost I reckon. I use plant based milk because I can’t have lactose.
