@Vivaci One does what one has to do.
Got to get ready for discharge now. Need to shower and all that.
This is called doing ones Ablutions 😃
So logging out for now. 4 - 5 hours I may be back
Awesome! Look after yourself and drive safely you...😅🤗

Hope to hear back from you later, my friend. 💐@Gusman

@Vivaci Home now, laying back with the foot elevated watching Grantchester.
A repeat I have seen before. Though as with many repeats, do not remember the outcome. So can watch it again.
Funny thing at the hospital, getting dressed ready for discharge, could not get my jeans on. Moon Boot is too big.
Moon Boot is not allowed to come off. Had to cut the leg of the jeans off. 😃
Then had to stop on the way home to buy a few pair of shorts. 😂
Not allowed to drive for the whole time the Moon Boot is on. Minimum 6 weeks.
They should feed you like a king considering how long you had to wait for surgery, Gusman! Heal well, my friend.
Gusman · 61-69, M
@PoetryNEmotion Thank you. 🙂
The original admitting hospital, Charles Gairdner, could not fit me in and made an arrangement for Private hospital, Hollywood, to do the surgery.
Operated on, 7 hours after being admitted.
@Gusman I followed it a bit. That is horrendous. Now you just need to heal. Do behave. Men like to rush it.

One week after operation, leg has been hurting away from the surgery site.
Half way up my shin, something not right.
So I go to my Doctor and upon removal of boot and bandage the shin is an off yellow colour and tender to the touch.
Indicative of infection.
Started on course of antibiotics.
@Gusman if thats pus, you need to squeeze it all out...antibiotics and turmeric powder are both effective.

Don’t cover your wound...keep it dry and use dry turmeric powder on it ..it will help fight the infection.

Drink turmeric milk.

Please stay away from water and humidity.

Sun is your friend.
Gusman · 61-69, M
@Vivaci No pus, got to it early enough.
Quite tender to the touch. On a course of antibiotics now. Leg still throbbing but that will abate as the drug does it's thing.
@Gusman yes...praying it heals soon. 🤗
And your taxes pay all your health care costs? No need to argue with insurance companies about every item? And your life expectancy is two years longer than that of a US citizen? And your per capita health costs are half those in the US? Sweet!!
Gusman · 61-69, M
@ElwoodBlues This incident is paid for via workers compensation.
Insurance Company is footing the bill which will be at least $35,000, including lost wages.
Miklee02 · 51-55, F
Was it tasty?
Gusman · 61-69, M
@Miklee02 Yes, Scrambled eggs are very tasty.
If I had made then myself I would have added Cracked Black Pepper, 2 tsp Minced Garlic and 1/2 cup Grated Vintage Cheese. 😂
Graylight · 51-55, F
Is this routine? I just stayed at a very good hospital and routinely got jello, dry naked chicken and overcooked green beans.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Gusman Almost makes surgery worthwhile. Almost.
Gusman · 61-69, M
@Graylight A bit of pleasure sure.
I am in great pain and incapacitated after my surgery.
Minimum 6 weeks, no driving until moon boot comes off - 10 weeks.
Surgery necessary, only there long enough for breakfast the morning after. 🙂
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Gusman No fun, but when you turn the corner in a few weeks, it's be amazing how fast it happens. Good healing.
KiwiBird · 36-40, F
Not Public Hospital fare obviously....

Congratulations on being released.

Put your feet up at home and rest.
Gusman · 61-69, M
@KiwiBird Yeah, Operation finally done.
I can stop posting about it so much now 😄
GunFinger · F
Glad you had your surgery atlast! Have a speedy recovery.😊
Gusman · 61-69, M
@GunFinger Thank you for following my story. 🙂
It's nice to get fed for a change. Glad you're all fixed up.
Gusman · 61-69, M
@Spoiledbrat Thank You. 🙂 All fixed up for now.
Was getting peeved at having to fast for 5 days in a row before finally being operated on.
Gusman · 61-69, M
Preparing for discharge. May be back in 4 - 5 hours
