What's the best diet for getting clear skin with no clogged pores or pimples?

Busybee33331-35, F Best Comment
1. Eat slowly. Respect and enjoy every bite.

2.When you feel half full or almost full, stop. Your body needs about 15-20 minutes to realize it is satiated xD. Imagine all the food you intake that only clusters your tummy but is not actually needed yet.

3. Eat smaller (more frequent) portions. Don't stay hungry, but don't surcharge your digestive system either.

4. Try to eat foods that will nourish your body properly: meat, veggies, some fruits, some nuts/almonds/dry fruits. Some bread but not too much (too much bread ain't good for your intestines).

Cooked/baked dishes are better than anything fried.

Wisdom: anything in a package is most likely not really offering you much benefits.

Example:
Haven't eaten chips since probably 2-3 years. Occasionally? Why not, but remember it doesn't have a real nourishing value whatsoever for you. If you make your own fries (actually cutting the potatoes from scratch, not the frozen bs on the market), they are still not healthy, but are definitely way less harmful than in-store chips. It goes the same for many other snacks.

4.Limit fabric sugar to a minimum: When you're dying for a candy, you can eat regular or dry fruit, you can bake some fruits like apples, you can eat dates or even a tiny amount of honey can give you the sugary pick me up. If you haven't noticed, EVERYTHING has already sugar in it - even plain bread 0_0. If you can stop ketchup it will also be amazing - they put so much sugar in it!

My Experience: I am guilty of eating ice cream xD but i usually only eat it once or twice a week maximum, some weeks I don't eat it at all. To be healthier, you can learn to make your own ice cream at home, replacing regular sugar with healthier options. Also, I realized, eating half of the portion of ice cream I usually would is more than enough if I eat it slowly. Often I just enjoy the taste but don't really need a big quantity. It's a little tip for eating ice cream free of guilt ;)

Tip* eating fruits is better than drinking them in a juice or smoothie because when you drink the fructose enters your body very quickly which can also affect your weight on the long term. Besides, the fibers clean your digestive system. There must be a reason why trees have fruits and not a juice fountain kind of system hahah. If you can bite and chew, bite and chew.

Note: But don't stop smoothies, a nice smoothie once in a while is a joy 馃構

Showing respect to your digestive system by not surcharging it but giving it a little of all, you have more chances to lose weight naturally and clear your skin. The dragon diets fail on the long term for a reason - you are not supposed to stress your body into thinking you're dying from hunger (guaranteed yo-yo effect). You are supposed to simply be aware of what you put in it and how exactly does it help you, and what kind of quantity is enough (too much of anything will harm you).

5. Move. Don't push yourself in a way that you hate all all activity whatsoever, go gentle but consistent. Walk a little one day, a little more later and you will begin to open up to more physical activity. Try yoga or anything similar, it isn't too intense but it helps. The more you move, the stronger you feel and it will become liberating to feel your body move. It will help speeding your metabolism, which will help in burning fat. 馃敟

6. Some spice ;) read up on spices. Try some spicy things from time to time - also speeds up metabolism. Now, don't become a fire breathing dragon ;) just a little helps so much.

Note: watch it with the salt. Too much salt not good- makes your body puff.

7. Sleep. Your body Burns fat in your sleep and if you forget to sleep enough, it will always ask you for more food than it needs to compensate the lack of sleep.

9. Stress / Anxiety management: find other healthier ways to regulate your emotions. We all fall in the emotional eating trap, but I believe we can catch ourselves before we devour a chocolate bar and maybe only chip a little tiny speck of it and drink a glass of water, because we understand this is not real hunger. We can use hobbies to de-stress.

Edit: I forgot to mention: ditch milk chocolate and learn to enjoy progressively darker chocolate. It tastes a little bitter at first but in time you will sense it's sweet nites. I am now at 87% or 92% dark. A tiny piece of that has a richer cacao aroma that is so fulfilling, that in time milk chocolate will taste like some kind of fake sugary joke. The slightly bitter aftertaste actually will help you stop before you eat too much of it ;)

Conclusion:
The most important of all:

Love your body. Listen to your intuition, respect your body.

If you listen carefully it doesn't ask for juice, but for water, it doesn't ask for a fake sugar muffin, it asks maybe for sleep (just tired) or dopamine (when you move or do sports your body will produce more dopamine and it will improve your mood, and won't need to resort to food for mood.)

Don't lose weight just to lose weight and to look prettier. Lose weight because you love yourself. And don't lose too much of it either. Fit people don't look like they haven't eaten for a decade 馃槅

That's all I know and that has worked for me in my personal experience.

I lost a lot of weight in about a year and a half. No diet, didn't even sleep enough, but I did the other things and .. man.. just a little bit of thought in how you eat and how much you move, goes such a long way.. Try it!

Good luck in your culinary adventures ;)

@Busybee333 thanks for your advice, a lot of the things you said make sense.

I just answered your question so wrong , talking about weight lol sorry. But I think everything I said applies for nice skin too hahah 馃槄

BTW if you use a lot of make up or creams, let your skin relax a bit. Sometimes that's all it needs. If you use hydrating creams on face.. try this: ditch the cream for a little. Clean your face and leave it a little damp. Put some cocoa cold pressed oil on it. It will help a lot by preserving the water in your pores longer. Plus it has a cleaning effect. As you see I am definitely for healthier less chemical options, perhaps a natural healthy beauty tips guru can help you more 馃槈
