'Water weight'

Any gym / fitness / diet people who can explain this to me? Like the whole concept / truth of it.

Because I know weight can fluctuate, and this is a reason. But also we're supposed to consume however much water in a day (8 glasses)? So it is good for you and has no calories, but also it makes us heavier?

Last week during a huge heatwave in the UK I was lighter and an inch smaller around my middle, I assume this was partly due to how much I was sweating 馃槄 And I know boxers, bodybuilders, jockeys etc can 'lose' pounds of weight from sweat before a weigh-in.

U can gain weight by drinking to much water.

@smileylovesgaming the key is weight though, not fat. Water can't make you fatter, but it can slightly increase weight. It's also not effect to try to lose body fat without adequate water intake.
