By todays over hygenic standards: overly scrubbed, overly lathered, overly perfumed and zero tolerance body hair?
No. I dont think i do.
Ive seen tiktoks and it looks obsessive.
I wash my hair usually once a week, more in summer.
Im not a huge believer in anti perspirant unless its overly hot or I'm going to be super active around others.
I dont brush my hair every day because its long.
I dont shave my legs everyday coz....well, who can be bothered?
Don't get me wrong, i absolutely love the feeling of 'straight out of the shower', but not at the cost of my bodies natural defence mechanism and biome.
I think nowdays some over groom.
I know some people over scent themselves to the point of ridiculousness.
I have days where i get dressed, brush teeth and sunblock....and thats it.
Then theres days where its the whole shebang: shaving, moisturizing, exfoliating, vitamin c, peptides, body butters and crap: almost baste myself in body creams and sit and marinate like a turkey.
All while i masque my hair, wash it, oil it, heat towel it.
Its a little luxury. Its a piece if self care me time.
But its not a way of life thing.
I aint got time for that much fluffing aboot😏

@popmol
...because there is no such thing as anything done "properly".
A concept example of anything done "properly" doesn't exist anywhere in the universe... and this is because there is no such thing as a 'more correct' way of doing anything.... and this is because everything we experience in life is 'subjective', which means those experiences are subject to personal biases, not black and white definition.
This results in everyone's individual personal biases causing the picture to change as they see fit, which does not make something definitively 'proper' just because somebody says it is.
