I had the same blow dryer for 11 almost 12 years, since I was 17 years sold and I’m 28 now. Should I buy a new one?

I’ve had it since I was 17 so back in 2011. I got it for my 17th birthday so I can learn how to blow dry my hair by myself. I had it for 11 years not surprised it still works. It’s so old though and I read that you should get like a new one after like 8 years. I don’t even know if it’s true or not. I’m planning to buy a new one because I think it’s time to upgrade. One of my friends told me if it still works then why bother buying a new one. Just use it until it stops working. I mean it still works but doesn’t work like it used to and it’s a decade old. It’ll be 12 years next year but it’s time for a new ones.

This hair dryer upgrade will it cost 3 times more than your current one and have half the lifespan?

Cuz new appliances do not last very long now days. Keep the old one till it craps out on you.
