This moment in Louis Malle's film makes me go back to my kindle
Back in the stone age they had to use flashlights to read in the dark, talk about rough!!!
if i have energy i'll do a good tv movie tonight.
All movies started on Criterion Channel will eventually be finished, but tonight i'm not feeling the kino magic, it's i believe the need to see one from my own collection, for example i LOVE a good Bergman b/w masterpiece, last one was Through a Glass Darkly, beginning to end masterful, the ending medium close up of the son who says Papa just spoke to me, and a elegant fade to black immediately after. Knowing the director had papa issues, it means so much, he put so much of himself in his art, and made it beautiful, he likened himself to a artisan someone who makes tables for instance, his job was to make a good product, and is why his films are generally regarded so highly, his craftsmanship was very high.
