Do you complain a lot?

I feel like I have been lately… I gotta stop that habit, and use the energy I’m putting into bitching and moaning, into finding solutions for my issues.

The complaining is giving “weak and helpless” 😒

Not usually, but sometimes I get overwhelmed.

I keep my mouth shut until I pour it all out at once. That's my venting on here, putting it into words that I know most will ignore anyway so I don't feel bad about letting it out.

I don't really sweat the small stuff anymore though. I think moreso because I don't want my son to pick up the negativity. I want him to view the world without my bias and grumps lol

I think it's a bit related to my ptsd, neurodivergency and learning to identify and verbalize my feelings so I can advocate for myself.

Hmm.
While absolutely it is important to work on solutions, bear in mind sometimes things get overwhelming. There's nothing wrong to vent in such a situation. Your emotions are valid.

@basilfawlty89 yeah venting can be good… but complaining/whining as a way to avoid searching and fixing is not cute
basilfawlty89 · 36-40, M
@WaryWitchWandering true, very true.

I haven’t noticed but I haven’t been on a lot. Girl I’ve just got so much I could complain about my brain overheats just thinking about my problems daily. But yeah, it doesn’t really help to talk about them much here anymore. I just live with it lol.

I feel like I do, and I hate it, so then I end up not telling people how I’m feeling. I really don’t know how to find middle ground
WaryWitchWandering · 36-40, F
@itsok relatable!

Personally I've came to the conclusion that every complaint is a lil story I create bout' how the universe is not becoming compliant with my way...

Acceptance of ...what is....keeps me grounded.
I think that's a wise insight.

Start with the FSM which appears to be attaching itself to the top of the trellis!
A lot of us use SW as a safe space to get things off our chest. There is nothing weak about that.

i don't complain as much just because i don't want to be a downer to other people, but putting myself down is my biggest talent
Harmonium1923 · 51-55, M
I try not to. It makes me feel worse instead of better.
I have my moments. But, like you, hopefully catch myself and check in

@V00doo you seem to me to be the type to buckle down and get the shit straightened out though.

I think like @basilfawlty89 said “there’s nothing wrong to vent”.

I just never want to become a person who keeps complaining but does nothing to change the things I complain about. I don’t want to become my mother haha (I love her but that is SO her).
@WaryWitchWandering Haha it takes a while to get me going, and I think depending on company, I keep most whines away. Have limits though.

When I stary sounding like my mum... 🙏

Vent and complaining are two separate things. Needs to get off your chest somehow

If you ask me, I'll give the lay of the land as I see it....otherwise I don't bother.
no not a lot. I'm resigned to my lot in life. but it's a matter of preference.
